Blizzard has announced another promotional event that will encourage players to pick up a copy of Warlord of WoTLK Gold this month. All previous World of Warcraft expansions (The Burning Crusade Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, and Mists of Pandaria) have been added to all existing World of Warcraft accounts. This means that all current members (and those who are reactivating their accounts) will have access to all the latest content.
Digital HD releases of World of Warcraft release on September 13. If you'd like to hold off for a physical version with an array of extra content that you can't get, you'll have to wait till September 27 when discs on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K versions become available.
The Blu-ray edition comes with an array of exclusives, including motion comics that is a multi-part documentary on bringing World of Warcraft to film, a featurette on wax World of Warcraft figures, and the teaser which was shown at San Diego Comic-Con in 2013.
Motion comics tell the story of Prince Llane, Captain Lothar, and Guardian Medivh. The documentary in contrast will cover everything from acting and stunts as well as Mocap and the visual effects.
Furthermore the Blu-ray and DVD versions feature deleted scenes WOW WoTLK Classic Gold, a gag reel, an origin story, an article about World of Warcraft 's fandom as well as a glimpse at the visual effects and facial capture technology.
